All I Want For Christmas is Animation!

Animator and cartoonist Meredith Gran, creator of webcomic Octopus Pie, created a short animation to Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas.

I've seen her comic for a long time, and what I like about her material is that it's unique while still being able to pay homage when she wants to. That's not an easy feat to do in cartooning or animation.

Anyway, I wanted to share this with you all, wishing you a Merry Christmas! :)

Animator Dalmiro Buigues showcases how he created this project for Cartoon Network. He mentioned using 3Dmax and After Effects.

Awesome Coca-Cola Commercial

Saw this commercial at the theaters recently, and I enjoyed the concept for this animation. Having two different individuals share the same interest in Coke, and through that, they were able to bring different interests together..in a smooth, cool, refreshing way of communication. I also enjoyed the feel of cut out paper for the illustrations. Very nice.

I also thought it was interesting that this was Secret Ingredient no. 83....seeing I was born in 83. :D I'm sure all of this was composited in After Effects, I'm sure it was. :)
